More McCain Of The Moment - So Which is it?

Face it folks, the man is one of two things, too old and feeble minded to be president or just flat out a liar. Anyone who questions his mental faculties is immediately attacked for b?inging up “The Age Issue”, WTF he brought it up himself in 2000.

So if we have to rule out age and failing memory as the reason for the constant factual mistakes regarding his own record, we then can only conclude the man is a bold faced liar.

Think Progress gives us another example:

Yesterday, the Washington Times noted that McCain also claimed he supported the 1986 Immigration Reform Act, legislation long lambasted by conservatives as an “amnesty” bill:

[I]n 1986, we passed a law and said we would secure the borders and gave amnesty to a couple — three million people. I supported that legislation way back then.

In fact, McCain voted against this legislation. As the Times explained, McCain was a vocal opponent of this bill:

The Arizona Republic newspaper in 1986 reported that he had called the bill racist and quoted him as saying the bill’s requirements for employers to verify workers “would institutionalize discrimination.” He said employers would refuse to hire Hispanics to avoid running afoul of the law.

Bush White House Pushed Grant for Former Staffer

Evangelical Group With the White House Connections Awarded $1.2 Million Grant.

A former top official in the White House's faith-based office was awarded a lucrative Department of Justice grant under pressure from two senior Bush administration appointees, according to current and former DOJ staff members and a review of internal DOJ documents and emails.

 

The $1.2 million grant was jointly awarded to a consulting firm run by Lisa Trevino Cummins who previously headed Hispanic outreach efforts for the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, and a California evangelical group, Victory Outreach. The grant was awarded over the strong objections of career DOJ staff who did not believe that Victory Outreach was qualified for the grant and that too great an amount of the funds was going to Cummins' consulting company instead of being spent on services for children.

 

Cummins' company, Urban Strategies LLC, was slated to get one third of the money for helping the self-described "evangelizing" Victory Outreach use the rest of the funds.

The money was awarded by J. Robert Flores, the Administrator of the DOJ's Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) who is under investigation by the DOJ's Inspector General after current and former employees said he awarded grants to programs with the right political and ideological connections. OJJDP grants are intended to address juvenile delinquency prevention and/or the juvenile justice system.

Questions about Flores' awarding of grants were raised earlier this month by ABC News on Nightline.

Cummins' application for the grant should have immediately "raised red flags," according to a senior Justice Department official. The official said that most of the grant money should be going to services, but that "in this case, you have a third of the money up front going to a consulting company," the official said.

 

These past 8 years will go down in history as the most corrupt ever,  just what do the 23% really see in this bunch of clowns?

White House Refused to Open Pollutants E-Mail

The White House in December refused to accept the Environmental Protection Agency’s conclusion that greenhouse gases are pollutants that must be controlled, telling agency officials that an e-mail message containing the document would not be opened, senior E.P.A. officials said last week.

The document, which ended up in e-mail limbo, without official status, was the E.P.A.’s answer to a 2007 Supreme Court ruling that required it to determine whether greenhouse gases represent a danger to health or the environment, the officials said.

The new document, a road map laying out the issues involved in regulation, is to be signed by Stephen L. Johnson, the agency’s administrator, and published as early as Wednesday.

The derailment of the original E.P.A. report was first made known in March by Representative Henry A. Waxman, Democrat of California, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. The refusal to open the e-mail has not been made public.

I am almost speechless at the insanity that daily comes from these people, they clearly have some delusion that they above the law. These last 6 months with this group of nut jobs in power is going to be painful, as they wreak havoc with our system of government that will take generations to repair!
